About

Eleni Giannakopoulos grew up in Kensington, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C. She earned her M.F.A. in visual design from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University.

While building her freelance clientele, Eleni has held a number of positions in the design industry. She has worked for the Discovery Channel as both a senior web designer and as a print designer. Her passion for graphic design led her to a teaching position at Stevenson University, where she taught both print and web design courses for four years. As a senior designer at Towson University, Eleni created a wide array of materials for the university including the annual report, development campaigns, and publications for international admissions and the UB/Towson MBA program. As the Director of Marketing and Creative Services at Carroll Community College, Eleni managed all of the print and online marketing communications for the college, and ensured that all materials adhered to the college's brand identity.

Eleni currently works for the Federal Government. She started her Federal career working for the Government Publishing Office, where she created design collateral and brand identities for numerous Federal agencies, Congress, and the White House. She currently works for the Food and Drug Administration, where she designs marketing materials for many different offices within FDA.

Her freelance clients have included the Baltimore Orioles, the New England Journal of Medicine, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the University of Maryland Medical System, and the University of Baltimore.
